Andromeda can refer to several different things:
- Andromeda Galaxy – The nearest large galaxy to our own Milky Way. It is about 2.5 million light-years from Earth and contains roughly 1 trillion stars. It is the largest galaxy in our Local Group and is expected to merge with the Milky Way in about 4–5 billion years.
- Andromeda – A constellation in the northern sky. The Andromeda Galaxy appears within this constellation.
- Andromeda – In Greek mythology, Andromeda was a princess who was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to a sea monster and was rescued by the hero Perseus.
